The Grinch may have stole Christmas, But the PC bug is killing it!!

We all have heard how the Grinch stole Christmas and then gave it back when he found out what Christmas was really all about. However, I don’t think a lot of people know what happened after that. In a small town left of Who Ville a small nasty bug emerged. This bug was even worse then the Grinch ever was. This bug is known as the “PC bug” or by its social name “Political Correctness”. This bug has invaded every where you look and like a bad virus is starting to spread into other areas, But that is a different tale for another time. Right now let’s just look at Christmas. This bug is deadly to Christmas it started last year when it attacked a few department stores. Once it attacked, the employees at some of those stores were no longer able to say things like “Merry Christmas” or “Happy Holidays”. Some stores even had what they called the “Christmas Corner”, but the PC bug attacked even that and now in some places it’s not even there any more or the name was changed to “winter wonderland”. A lot of stores even today have never recovered from this foul and deadly little bug. Well once this bug had done its damage to the stores it broke out into the malls. Some malls that had Christmas carolers and school choirs singing Christmas songs suddenly fell silent as this mean deadly bug attacked the carolers & choirs alike. One very strange thing I have noticed is that the PC bug has never really been able to attack Santa when he shows up at the local mall. Maybe, that’s because Santa is not afraid to say things like “Ho, Ho, Ho” or “Marry Christmas”. Well, the next thing the PC bug did was to break out of the malls and start spreading across the county like an out break of the deadly Ebola virus, nothing was safe from it. The PC bug raced across this country like a raging wild fire, destroying anything in its path that had to do with Christmas. The next victim to fall to this evil little bug were the schools, Gone form the schools were things like the Christmas parties, The Christmas musicals with the school bands and choirs. Even the school Christmas plays suddenly disappeared, all victims of this one little nasty bug. One of the biggest things I enjoyed about Christmas when I was a kid, was going with my family to look at all the Christmas lights and displays that where up. We would drive through the neighborhood looking at what the people had put up, but the highlight of the trip was going to the Court houses, and other public buildings and seeing their huge displays, with everything form live nativity scenes with real animals to hundreds of thousands of lights, and even Christmas carolers. The sad part to all that is that all of that is gone know, also victims of this deadly bug called “Political Correctness” It is very sad.

Well the PC bug is still around today and is even more deadly then ever before. However, it has mutated a little. Know days the bug is still killing Christmas, but it is now allowing some religious groups (other then Christian groups) to set up their displays without being attacked, as long as it’s not a government or public building. So how can we fight this bug? Is there a cure? Can it be stopped? The answer is YES! And here is how, First don’t let those who have already been attacked by the PC bug tell you it’s not that bad or it’s for the betterment of society. The big thing is DON’T BE FOOLED! Once this bug is done with Christmas it will be well rooted in our society and will most likely start attacking other things. But, I think one of the very best things we can do is to stand up to this bug known as “Political Correctness” and say no more enough is enough. Standby what you believe in, If you believe that Christmas is all about presents and a big fat guy in a red suite or if you believe as I do that Christmas is all about the birth of Christ and Family, standby that and don’t be afraid to tell other what you believe. So, the next time your some place with other people around, don’t be afraid to smile and say Merry Christmas & Happy Holidays rather they smile and say it to you or not. So in an effort to do my part to stop the PC bug let me just say to all of you “Marry Christmas & Happy Holidays” to everyone.
