Tax payers should not have to eat pork! (It’s unhealthy)

Pork spending
With everyone so worried about the “Swine Flu”, I thought it would be fun to look at another swine type flu known as Pork spending. So let’s look at this other seldom seen pandemic known as pork spending. With the economy being so unstable these days everyone is watching their spending habits. Our government however, seems to think they don’t have to worry about their spending, after all they can just print more. We all know about the bail outs of the banks, insurance companies and now even the Auto industries. But how many of us know about the other stuff they are wasting our tax dollars on? We have all heard about pork barrel spending, but how many of us have really know what it is they are spending our money on? Have any of you really taken a hard look at it where your money is going? You might be surprised at what you’ll find. When I was looking for information on Pork barrel spending, I found a site called “Citizens against Government Waste”, they keep track of all government waste and then each year they publish the names of government officials and what they are wasting our money on. Below is the 2009 list of pork barrel spending. Take a look at it and then ask yourself this question “Why”.

Memorial Day Salute to the troops

Incredible! New George S Patton speech: Iraq & modern world

This is an inspiring speech, by a great General. If he was alive today, this would be the speech He might very well give. I wish the current government could hear this and take it to heart. We need more Generals like this. To all the troops out there God bless each and everyone of you for all the dedication and Sacrifice you made for this great country.

Side note: Before you start sending me all kinds e-mail about the bad language, don't. I know it's there and this will be the one time I will allow it. Sometime we all need a good kick in the butt to get a point across and if this general was alive today He would be just the one to do it.

Question of the week: Is the Swine flu really that big a deal?

Swine flu So Here is my question, do you think that the swine flu is as bad as they say it is or are they just trying to scare us so they can justify  bring us Socialized health care?

Personally I think that everything they are doing is just a lot of over kill and has to be the stupidest thing they have done in a long time. 160 cases nation wide (at the time of this article), to me doesn’t raise to the level of a pandemic. The things they tell us to look for could also be a 1,000 other things from a cold to strep throat. Treating everyone who comes into a clinic or hospital with a runny nose or a slight fever as if they have the swine flu and should be totally isolated is overkill and totally insane. Ask yourself this, why don’t we treat the regular flu like this? the plain old flu that we get shots for kills 38,000 a year in this country alone, yet we never treat it like a pandemic. I have even heardSwine flu 1 some of the so called experts say that they believe the swine flu is not even as bad as the regular flu. By doing the things they are doing, they are doing nothing but creating fear and panic among the population, and that could become a bigger disaster then the swine flu.

As for you conspiracy nuts out there, that I have heard say “Its just Obama’s why of justifying Socialized health care” well I don’t buy into that. There would be to many people involved to keep that a secret. I would be incline to believe it was to justify spending more money we don't have. In short we do need to be cautious and do some things to reduce the chance of getting the Swine flu, but lets be smart about it and not jump into overkill and insanity.
