When a man pulled into a small town the first thing he noticed was that no one was looking at anyone, they all walk with their faces looking downward. They also did not speak to each other. The next thing he saw was that all the buildings looked the same and only had one word above their doors that told you what was inside, for example Groceries, Electronics, books, etc. Even the fast food places simply said “fast food”. When the guy went into a small Grocery store, everything in it was in black and white packages with one word on it saying what was in it. The guy picked up a bag that said potato chips and went to the counter to pay for it. The man behind the counter never looked up and just rang it up and said $2.50. The guy then got back into his car and left the town. The next day the guy was telling a friend about the strange little town, when his friend laughed and said you where in the town of “Not offended”. His friend went on to say that they did not want to offend anyone who lived there, so they made so many laws that the town is now like a bunch of mindless, emotionless robots.
